The world's lone voice of reason is The Weekly Truth. It's a tabloid that reports on alien abductions, Sasquatch sightings, and the mutant freaks we elect to our government.

And it's all true.

The tabloid's star reporter brings her daughter to work, and they are soon knee-deep in conspiracies that threaten to destroy them both (and, y'know, the world). They just need to figure things out while investigating werewolves, lizard people, and how much they mean to each other.
