In a utopian future, these adolescents are the stars of the show. They just don't know it.
What is that noise? What is this room? And who are these people? Dane is confused. All he knows is that this is not the place where he went to bed the sleep before. It's The Hall, they say.
Roc needs an outlet for releasing his energy and nurture his competitiveness. The Arena is the perfect stage, but as a 10-year old competing with boys and girls several years his senior, he has to adapt to his new environment very quickly.
Lia always knew she didn't fit in with the smaller children in the playground. In The Park she has found comfort in the group of like-minded misfits. Her days are filled with skateboarding and flow riding. But a traumatic incident in The Park alters the lives of the entire group for years to come.
In the beginning Hale found The Level bearable. The video games kept her occupied, and there seemed to be endless entertainment. But after a while she wanted more. Constantly failing to engage the group members in activities or conversations related to anything other than video games, she falls into a depression difficult to snap out of.
In The Lounge young adults finally come together to party. Sexuality all of a sudden comes into focus, and Britt is struggling with hers. It's a different game, very different, where the rules are not clear, and where not everyone is your friend.
Ana finds all of it very fascinating, and she has a different perspective of things in The Gallery. Very different. She knows she has to end up risking her future to save them all.
