Mike Mansfield and his invisibles are back, trying to help a grieving family make sense of a terrible tragedy. But to their surprise, nothing about the event seems to make any sense, except that someone is trying to stop them at all costs, beginning with Mansfield.
As they gradually begin piecing the puzzle together, Mansfield and his team realize the original explanation of what took place is nothing of the sort. That the explanation was never meant to be anything but a mirage, and that Mike Mansfield is the last person they want involved, because people don' t know what Mansfield is capable of... until it's too late.
