Synopsis

Penpal begins with a haunting recollection from the unnamed narrator’s childhood. He describes a school project where students send letters attached to balloons, hoping to receive replies from whoever finds them. Years later, strange and unsettling events begin to surface — suggesting someone might have found his balloon and never stopped watching him.

The novel unfolds as a series of interconnected memories, gradually revealing a chilling truth about the narrator’s past and the unseen presence that has shaped his life since childhood.
