Synopsis
Catarina Lacoste never thought a simple night out could end in being attacked by a deranged woman with a mean set of claws and fangs. All she'd wanted to do was check out the bar where her friend had fallen head-over-heels with the love of her life and see if the same could happen for her. In a few harrowing moments, Catarina learns things about the man she's attracted to that she'd never suspected.
Mathieu Pascal is furious when he has to rescue his mate, Catarina from an unprovoked attack by a female shifter. She hadn't known shifters existed and a vicious attack isn't the way he wanted her to find out. Carrying her off to his home, he tends to her wounds and tries to show his mate that not all shifters are malicious.
But just as things seem to be moving forward between them, the past rears its ugly head, threatening to tear apart the bond growing between them.
