Synopsis

Brooke agrees to tag along on a singles' Valentine's day ski trip. But she did NOT expect to be abandoned on the mountaintop by her bestie, to ski uncontrollably down a double black diamond slope, or play damsel in distress to a man in tights. Well, the man in tights is okay.

Country music superstar T.J. Oliver loses a bet with his brother and must don a ridiculous superhero costume. Including the cape. When a snow bunny careens straight toward a tree, T.J.'s protective instincts activate and he swoops in to save the day.

Will they find love on the slopes or will it be all downhill from there?

CHAPTER ONE

 

BROOKE LARSEN HISSED when her best friend, Caroline, rocked the ski lift. “Why, in God’s good name, did I agree to this?”

“Because you love me,” Caroline said, leaning close and nudging Brooke in the ribs. “And you don’t want me to be a lonely, crazy, cat lady when we’re old and gray.”

“You’re already crazy and a cat lady.” Brooke mumbled, staring up into the deep blue cloudless sky. She ignored, or tried to ignore, the swinging of the chair as they barreled up the side of Emery mountain. Her feet dangled under her with the foreign weight of skis.

“It’s so beautiful.” Caroline took a video with her phone, panning it over the landscape, then to her lift-mate. “Look, here’s Brooke. You know she loves me because she is afraid of heights, and she’s climbing a mountain to go skiing with me. Say ‘hi’ Brooke.”
