Synopsis
What comes from Between the Cracks? Fiction that ignores boundaries, mixes genres and confounds classification.
Set in a slightly skewed version of Old Montreal, Larry's Shrine is a fantasy tale that creeps toward science fiction. Larry is a washed up artist, a photographer who can no longer see the shadows that make life beautiful or at least bearable. When an old flame sends him a letter about a shrine erected in his honor, Larry must confront his own godhood or abandon his art forever.
This short story (3,728 words) was first published in Albedo One Magazine, November 2008.
