In 1961 middle America, 11-year-old Abel has a lifelong history of night terrors and suffering from things that go bump in the night. Recently though, the nightmares have escalated rapidly as the boy begins to see through the eyes of murder victims in their last moments alive. He turns to his new neighbor and best friend, Rachel for solace to make it through their school days.
