Evr is a ticking time bomb. The Artifex is inside her, the Timekeeper has escaped his prison, Casseroux has shattered the Hunters, and Kellan is nowhere to be found. Evr's never been more broken. Now more than ever she needs her magic, but after her mother's death, can she ever trust it again?
With the Timekeeper picking off realms and Casseroux's forces chasing her at every turn, it seems things can't get worse. But when a third foe joins the fray, Evr must make a terrible choice. She needs an army that can defeat not one great enemy, but three, and an army so formidable is wicked indeed.
