Tea, tarot, and murder...laissez le bon temps rouler!
Emerson Evans does not believe in the paranormal. So, that makes working at a voodoo shop in the French Quarter an unexpected job choice. But as a psych major, the shop’s patrons certainly offer endless opportunities for case studies.
When she meets a man who claims to be Baron Samedi, a voodoo god, (talk about research material) his crazy doesn’t end at his bizarre identity crisis. He tells her one of the shop's regulars, who recently died, refuses to cross over to the afterworld until Emerson solves her murder. Delusional, anyone? And why her? But Emerson is curious. Soon, she does learn that the woman’s death is a little suspicious. Maybe she really was murdered.
Emerson might not believe in the paranormal, but she does suspect there could be a murderer in their midst. And apparently it is up to her (and a crazy guy who thinks he's a god--and her canine sidekick) to find out hoodone it.
