Lorna Shadow starts a new job as a personal assistant under the frosty glare of her old-fashioned employer, Lady Camilla. This time, everything will go smoothly. She’s sure there won’t be any ghosts to get in her way.

Things don’t get off to a great start when Lorna has to fight off the unwanted attentions of a sleazy handyman and has to deal with a spoiled son who loves to wave around a shotgun. Then two ghosts appear. Uh oh! This job won’t be so easy, after all.

With two confused, sad ghosts on her hands, Lorna can’t ignore them, especially when she learns of their odd disappearance. It looks like she has more murders to solve.

Helped by her best friend Helen, who gets a taste of love (but not for long) and her furry best friend, Flipper, Lorna must help the ghosts and keep her demanding employer content. It’s a struggle that'll need lots of tea and tasty treats to keep her going.

Lorna is also faced with a personal dilemma with her boyfriend, Zach. Can she keep him happy, figure out who the killer is, and keep her job?

If she doesn’t, a killer will go free, and two ghosts will never get the justice they deserve.
