Synopsis
In Punchaw, the land of the sun god, all of its denizens are forced to live underground to escape the maddening heat of the sun. Nobody has felt its warmth or tilted their faces to the sky for fear of losing their minds beneath its rays. No one can withstand its power, except for Kallari.
As a conduit of light that can heal the deepest of despairs and the darkest of souls, Kallari is revered—the Sun Saint. Once a month, they are invited to pay for the privilege of her touch and share their deepest secrets. But Kallari’s secret is that too much of her touch can drive one to madness and death.
Rayan has seen the light claim the minds and lives of his family and friends. Determined to change the tides, he joined Punchaw’s guard and committed to bringing down the system from the inside.
