Synopsis
This is an edited compilation of all of the recipes from my previous two books, Cakes From Mamaw's Kitchen and Pies From Mamaw's Kitchen. Please note there are few pictures, since most of the recipes were "made from scratch". Also, many of them were in Mamaw's hand writing. Sadly, Mamaw passed away in 1998 and I was limited to the information on the card, notes, tablet pages.
Mamaw loved to cook and holidays her table could be heard groaning under the weight of all of the food. The groaning could have been coming from those of us invited to have holiday dinner with her. She was a great cook, and to be at her home was to be blessed with an array of aromas unparallelled, followed by foods of unequaled taste. I don't ever remember seeing a cake mix in her kitchen. As I previously indicated, it was made from scratch.
