Hanna has found her place in the world—namely the seaside resort on the Sea of Cortez, rescuing abused and abandoned horses. With her dedication, commitment and patience, her rescue horses love running along the beach as much as she does. Her peaceful lifestyle suits her just fine. After leaving Ireland and traveling the world, Colin lands in a place he’s grown to love. He gives his time and energy to the volunteer fire department along the shore, and is happy to do it. But with the development of the new resort and the vaquita sanctuary, things are changing in their community along the beach. And not everybody is happy about it. Playa Luna and all of the seaside communities are at risk, even the new resort, as the volunteer firefighter brigade realizes that the fires they’ve raced to contain aren’t random. Colin sets out to find out what’s going on and needs help. As much as Hannah can’t believe that anyone would do harm to the place she loves, she knows Colin can’t do this alone.
