Synopsis

LA Homicide Detective Marc Deveroe had not dated since his finance was murdered three years previously. Then he meets Juliet. Being a Shakespeare buff, Marc takes the woman’s name as a sign that he should ask her out. They have a pleasant dinner, after which Juliet surprises him by becoming sexually aggressive—and he can’t resist.

After a night of the most incredible love-making he has ever experienced, Marc wakes to find Juliet gone, leaving only an ominous Shakespearean quote written in lipstick on his mirror.

Is it a cruel joke, or has Juliet killed him? While Marc deals with the waiting and wondering, he searches for his possible murderess with the help of Kate, his almost sister-in-law.

Then reports come in from other men, and the hunt is on to stop the lady with the long scarlet nails and full scarlet lips from killing more. He hasn’t been able to solve his finance’s murder, but will Marc be able to solve his own?
