Lying to the police is unacceptable. But sometimes, friendship trumps prudence.
When famous comedian Denny Kaplan pays a visit to the small town of Middleton, television News Editor, Devon Harvey, jumps at the chance to run the camera for the big show. But when Kaplan is found murdered, her best friend JB is the unfortunate soul who happens to be seen standing over the body.
Eager to protect her friend, Devon hastily invents a story for the police and claims to be JB's alibi. With both her neck, and JB's, on the line, Devon is thrust into a race against time to figure out who really killed Kaplan before the police unveil her deception.
