Wallace Stegner

About the author

Wallace Stegner, author and American historian, is best know for his prolific writing on the American West. He spent his childhood in Montana, Utah, and Saskatchewan. His novels included All the Little Live Things (winner of a Commonwealth Club Gold Medal), Angle of Repose (winner of the Pulitzer Prize) and The Spectator Bird (winner of the National Book Award). Stegner also founded the creative writing program at Stanford University. He died in 1993 at age 84.
