Crocker is also the author of Braddock's March: How the Man Sent to Seize a Continent Changed American History, which received the 2011 Distinguished Book Award from both the New York and the District of Columbia Societies of Colonial Wars, and of Empire's Eagles: The Fate of the Napoleonic Elite in America. He is a member of the American Revolution Institute Book Prize committee, the Society of the Cincinnati, the Distinguished Book Prize committee, and the General Society of Colonial Wars. He is a retired partner at a large U.S. law firm and a former U.S. diplomat.
