Her Last Goodbye by the prolific Rick Mofina is yet another home run from one of my favorite thriller authors. Jennifer Griffin disappears one evening on her way home from Book Club, vanishing without a trace in the flash of an eye. Her husband, Greg, manages to incriminate himself with his actions as he desperately searches for his wife in the hours after she goes missing. This is a taut, well-written story with terrific characters. The novel winds through a series of twists and turns that ratchet the tension ever higher, straight through to a surprise ending. Mofina always manages to keep us on the edge of our seats, and Her Last Goodbye is no exception. The author never seems to write anything less than a stellar novel. I can’t wait for the next one!

There are no poor choices when it comes to selecting a novel by Rick Mofina, one of my favorite thriller writers. The Lying House is right up there alongside his best novels.
