Peter Rawlinson was an MP for 23 years and became Solicitor General, Attorney General, and later a Peer. For many years, he was a barrister at the top of his profession. In addition to his autobiography A Price Too High, he also wrote novels, including The Columbia Syndicate, Hatred and Contempt, His Brother's Keeper, The Caverel Claim, and Indictment for Murder. He lived in Wiltshire, England.
