About the author
Mel Foster found expressing herself verbally was very difficult as she was growing up. Especially in school. She was homeschooled through the beginning of middle school to her graduation. Diagnosed with ADD and NVLD (a nonverbal language disorder), she has found her voice in her writing.
At only seventeen, Foster submitted her first manuscript to a publisher. Receiving positive encouragement to keep writing, she decided to work diligently toward her dream of becoming a published writer.
It’s taken her a long time to express herself well verbally, and it’s one of the many personal characteristics she has bestowed upon her characters. Though it has become easier to speak her mind, writing will always be an escape. Now, she considers storytelling her superpower.
Her debut novel, Falling From Grace is her first published work, but Foster is already a prolific writer having written twenty novels on her own by age twenty-three.
