About the author
In creating Ruin Leigh Seippel drew upon experience of both rural life and fly fishing. He has long worked a Hudson River bankside farm. With his wife he has nurtured sheep, goats and poultry, made prize winning wine and maintained a family sustenance organic garden.
As a fisherman he is chair of the conservation activities of The Anglers’ Club of New York, having previously served it as president. He is a director of two leading land and water conservancy foundations, and as to the presence of art in Ruin, continues as an executive trustee of a documentary production company focused on living history of major American artists.
Earlier he was an entrepreneurial investor and remains engaged as a founder of a pharmaceutical project to alleviate inflammation-based disease.
His is a delinquent first novel.
