This was a fun immersion into all things Bridgerton and I loved every bit of it!

While this does not have any new content, other than a bit from Lady Whistledown, it has so many moments of goodness that make up each book and thereby, the whole series. Each chapter covers a different character and within are quotes that paint a perfect picture of that character. From the deepest heartfelt moments, to those that had me laughing again as it reminded me of all the humor this series contains.

This is definitely for those who have already read and loved the books. Any fan will enjoy this but the formatting for the printed book is exquisite and definitely something a hard core fan would love to have on their shelf. I’m totally in book envy at just the thought!

But what really has me cheering for this book is the way it thrust me back into the joy that is the Bridgertons and thereby making me fall in love with them all over again.

I loved how well written the story was and how well developed the characters were back in the 1800's.
This was such a great story of a boy who because of a studder, could not win his father's affections and since his mother died at birth, it was all he desired.
He over came his disability, despite the fact that his father told everyone that he was dead and to him he was.
With a lot of anger in him, he vowed never to marry or to have children to carry on his father's name or his title as a Duke.
Daphne's only desire was to marry for love, just as her mother had.
As she was presented to society, she had very few suiters. They all like her as a friend, but never saw her as anything more.
When Simon, came back to London to settle some affairs after his father had past, he had no desire to be paraded around with all the mothers trying to marry off their daughters, so he devised a plan with Daphne, his best friend sister to help her gain the attention of the suiters and for him to be left alone.
As time passed they found themselves to be good friends and then the fun begins.
And who is doesn't love a great gossip column?
This was a great feel good story with lots of ups and downs that left me feeling very melancohly and happy all at the same time.
I would definitely recommend this series.

Audiobook: Narration - Rosalyn Landor

This was an exceptional narration! A few chapters listening to this in a slower speed quickly adjusted my ear to this narrator's accent and I was ready to go. I suspect there was no need to slow it down but it’s something I always do with accented audios. I enjoyed both the male and female voices as well as the life she brings to the characters.

With my apologies to my previous audios, this was actually the first audio book I’ve listened to without ever losing my attention to something outside the story. I found myself so consumed with it that I was surprised when I had accomplished a task that usually diverts me from the book and of which I’ve learned to pause the story. That alone is enough for me to recommend this book despite the questionable scene.

I read this book a hundred years ago, give or take a year or two, and remember loving it. However, I didn’t remember much of the details. As everyone is jumping on the Bridgerton Netflix bandwagon, I wanted to jump too. But I love to read the book before the movie and while I had read it, I needed to remember it. And that brings me to choosing to do my reread via audio and quickly remembering why I had loved this book so long ago!

Audiobook: Narrator - Rosalyn Landor

What an amazing narration! Ms. Landor was exceptional with each character giving them their own unique tone and cadence. She brought this story to life in a way that, in my experience, isn’t easily found, especially in romance audios. I experienced the same in the previous audio and once again found myself so absorbed, I chose to listen to this long after the time I usually turn it off.

I found this story to be almost, but not quite, as good as the first book. However, it still beats so many other books that I have listened/read and loved in the past.

There was quite the sizzle and spark between Anthony and Kate as they battled each other. I love a good enemies-to-lovers story and this one was wonderful. I couldn’t get enough of this couple and by the time the paille-maille game concluded, I was rolling with laughter and absolutely in love with Kate.

I was concerned I wouldn’t like Anthony when I realized he would be courting Kate’s sister, but being allowed into this thoughts made it all the better as I could see what his real feelings were. I may not have loved him as much as Simon, but he came very close to it.
