A physician with a background in drug development, information technology, health economics, outcomes research, and public health. Dr. Javitt is currently Founder, Chairman, and CEO of NeuroRx, Inc. Founder of health information technology companies that have merged with Siemens, Inc., United Health Group, Inc., and Aetna, Inc. Presidential Appointee in the Bush and Clinton administrations. Author of more than 200 publications related to health care delivery and seven U.S. patents. He authored the first book on computers in medicine and has published more than 200 scientific works in peer-reviewed journals.
