John Ellsworth Follow

Ellsworth’s lengthy series featuring Michael Gresham is uniformly good, so a review of Book One, The Lawyer, is a good jumping off point. Gresham, a winning underdog lawyer character, finds himself defending a judge who has been accused of murdering his own wife. The story weaves through many unexpected twists and turns, with Ellsworth bringing the characters to life and keeping the action churning up to the satisfying conclusion. These books are fun reads, and who doesn’t like a fun read now and again? I was torn between suggesting this book or Ellsworth’s series featuring Thaddeus Murfee, which is equally enjoyable. Basically, anything written by John Ellsworth promises to be a good read.
