I struggled with this one. Everything about it felt slightly off. Stephanie may have said yes to both Morelli and Ranger in the last book and left everyone on pins and needles for a whole year...only to come back to our formally feisty heroine thinking babies, attempting a healthy lifestyle and dare I say it, boring. Without Lulu being quintessential Lula, and a steady stream of ‘babe’ I may not have been able to finish this one. And that ending, we needed a Plum family wedding and how *no spoilers* reacted to the news.

“I’ve never slept with another man’s dog.”

Okay, we’re back to Evanovich at her best and it’s a true pleasure! Plenty of slap stick comedy, action and Bob. Stephanie, Lulu and our regular friends, minus Morelli who’s away on assignment, with a array of new zany characters make sure there is never a dull moment in Trenton this time around. And that cliffhanger? I’m already counting down the days to see how that one plays out!

Evanovich at her finest! Stephanie and the ‘burg crew brought it in this installment of the series. Hilarious, face paced and so much Bella! The only thing that might top this is a Grandma Mazur and Bella on a case together.

What would happen if Stephanie Plum married Diesel and ran off to play Indiana Jones? Meet Gabriela Rose and her ex husband Rafer. A recovery agent with a fondness for nice things, Gabriela goes on a quest to save her hometown and finds herself saddled with her ex. The Recovery Agent is an entertaining read that left me hoping for their next adventure.

In the 27 Stephanie Plum novel. Stephanie is at her all time best, protecting her family. This novel has all the classic Stephanie antics with all the same Characters on board that feel like your zany friends at this point, with the addition of a new girl who is going out on her own. Stephanie finally saves the mystery of the treasure we read about in 26. She gets some serious QT time with Ranger - Finally.. and it looks like she may patch up things with Morelli. If your a Plum fan this is one you don't want to miss. After you're done there is an excerpt from the upcoming novel with the new character Gabriela. I can't wait till this one comes out. She is a Bad ass in high heels.
