Ruby Fever wraps up Catalina and Alessandro’s story in the Hidden Legacy series. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Catalina and Alessandro are my favorite and Ruby Fever has all of the action, drama, and interesting magic that has been well-developed in the series as Alessandro and the Baylor family have their final showdown with Arkan.

As the first book of a series, Magic Bites is not perfect. However, the series is great and on par with some of the greatest world-building in fantansy and sci-fi. I’ve been re-reading the Kate Daniels books. They are even more creative and entertaining now that I’ve read the entire series.

I think this book had a massive case of overhyping, and I expected better than what I got. This world is exciting, and an intriguing concept, but the characters fell flat. I can easily see it getting better, but this book was not exceptional.
