Gayleen Froese is a Canadian author and singer-songwriter based in Edmonton, Alberta. She writes across genres including mystery, urban fantasy, and speculative fiction, and is best known for her LGBTQ detective series featuring private investigator Ben Ames. Her work blends sharp dialogue, rich character development, and Canadian settings with a touch of wit and intrigue.

A past winner of BookTelevision’s 3-Day Novel Contest, Froese has also worked as a radio writer, talk-show host, and communications professional. When not writing, she enjoys kayaking, photography, and spending time with her partner and pets.
