Elisabet M. Stone was born in Hempstead, Texas, a town once known as “Six Shooter Junction.” She worked at newspapers and magazines where she did everything from covering police to society and editing a tropical garden page. She has lived and worked all over the country but mainly in New Orleans, New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Washington D.C.
