Don Futterman grew up and went to public elementary and junior high school in Flushing. He is an actor and storyteller, has been a columnist for the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz, written for The Daily Beast and published two children’s books in Hebrew. Don has a performance podcast of autobiographical monologues, Futterman’s One-Man Show, and for the past eleven years has been a co-host of TLV1’s The Promised Podcast, a weekly review of politics and society in Israel with more than three million downloads.
Don is the founding director of the Israel Center for Educational Innovation (ICEI), and has been Director of the Israel Office of the Moriah Fund since 2005. Don is married with three children and has lived in Israel since 1994.
