Dee Kelly, Jr. is a suspense writer, prominent attorney, and amateur historian living in Fort Worth, Texas. He’s been fascinated by the intersection of historical facts and characters with modern reality since his earliest days as an undergrad at the University of Texas. His storylines fuse his love of history into alternative worlds that keep readers wondering where truth ends and fiction begins.

After graduating from law school, Kelly embarked on a legal career that led him to the pinnacle of his profession, but he never lost his overriding love for books and storytelling. The Malachi Covenant is his first work in a suspense-filled fictional series featuring biblical archeologist Maggie Shepherd. 

Kelly serves on his law firm’s executive committee and maintains an active trial practice in Texas. He’s been listed as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine every year since 2003. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Dana, and the center of the family’s universe, dog Scout. The Kelly’s have three beloved daughters.
