Anne Bishop is one of my top five authors. In Written In Red, Anne switches from her previous high fantasy to a new take on an urban fantasy. This book does not disappoint. So much so, that I read it twice on the day of it's release. And then I re-read it five more times in that year. Now the series is a once a year re-read. Each time I find a different part that surprises me and makes me love this series even more. Meg, Simon, Sam, Henry, and so many more characters are riveting and deserve to be read.
