BB: Where and when do you like to write? 

JY: I like to write in the early hours of the morning before the sun rises. I have an office at home where the work gets done.

BB: Is there anything - furnishings, art, equipment, etc - you always like to have around you when you write? 

JY: I use a standing desk. 

BB: Who are your influences? 

JY: Michael Crichton, Max Brooks, Steven Pressfield. 

BB: What are you reading right now?

JY: Chronicles of Narnia 

BB: What book would you recommend for a great late summer read?

JY: Dracula 

BB: Have any of your characters ever surprised you? How?

JY: Always. I don't outline so they're always taking me down paths I never would have planned on my own.
