144 Authors, Countless Stories: A Mid-Year Recap of Our Spotlight Series

At the start of 2025, we launched a fresh new format for our Spotlight Authors series—one that focused on a single genre each week, featuring six incredible authors every time. The goal? To give readers like you a curated way to discover new voices, fall back in love with old favorites, and explore new corners of the literary world, one genre at a time.

And now, halfway through the year, we're thrilled to share that we've spotlighted 144 authors since January 1! From twisty mysteries and swoon-worthy romances to epic fantasy and spine-tingling sci-fi, it’s been a whirlwind of great stories and unforgettable characters.

What Made This Year’s Spotlight Different?

We took a genre-by-genre approach to give each spotlight a unique focus. Instead of a monthly mix, each week zeroed in on a single genre—helping readers dive deeper into the kind of stories they love. With author excerpts and samples included in every feature, we made it easy to get a feel for each writer’s voice before committing to the full read.

Summer Break Announcement ☀️

As we head into the warmer months, we’re pressing pause on the Spotlight series for the summer. We’ll be taking a short break to refresh, recharge, and plan even more great author features for the fall.
