In this newest installment of the Holiday Cozy Mystery series, a body is discovered among broken ornaments. Violet needs to get the scoop (pun intended) and help solve this untimely murder to put the joy back into the holiday celebration. As we've come to expect with Ms. Kappes' books, well-told and well-written mystery, wonderful and engaging characters, just a fun cozy must-read for all cozy lovers. One of the best things: if this is your first Holiday Cozy mystery, you don't have to read them in order, but you'll certainly want to go back and read the others. A great holiday diversion, pick this up now.

A super fun mystery that offers a variety of suspects in a well-told, well-developed whodunit! Interesting characters take you through a story that not only will give you plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and a super plot that makes this book hard to put down. A book that you will totally love; a well-written mystery that will make you want to go back and read the others if you haven't already. I highly recommend this book and actually all of them in this series.

I loved this book! On top of that, I love this series and THIS is the series that got me hooked on Tonya Kappes. This book (as with the others) is a clean cozy full of fun, snark, and characters that just make you want to love them (and hate them too). This mystery just plain hooks you from the beginning and keeps your interest because it's so well told and flows nicely. Twists and turns keep you guessing and you think you know who did it, but that turns out not to be the case.

Never a spoiler in my reviews, aside from this quirky cast of characters that you really shouldn't overlook, this is a book that you just want to read. It does just fine as a standalone due to superb character development, but if you haven't read any of the books before this, you'll want to go back and read the others in this series and investigate some of the other super fun cozies by Ms. Kappes. A quick and engaging read that takes us into the depths of a National Park in Canada. A seeming copycat murder drags Detective Parks Pat out of her comfort zone while also dragging her family (daughter and dog) into the fray. A fierce momma bear, Margie puts two and two together to solve this whodunit with few clues at hand.

We get a tour of Glenbow Park and a bit of a history lesson on top. All in all a satisfying read that leaves you happy and looking forward to the next book.

This book is absolutely amazing. Gia, the kickass, fearless female protagonist, has her vigilante pants on in the most recent book in the continuing series. You will love it from the first page to the last. Never a dull moment in any of the books, this may be the best yet in the Gia series. Plenty of thrills in this story that addresses tough subjects that are front line today...trafficking, drugs, political crooks, and murder. Action-packed, set in San Francisco, I could keep going on and on but I won't because there are never spoilers in any of my reviews, this is just a tease from me to get you to one-click and start reading immediately! BTW, super important...easy enough to read without having read the others, but if this is your first, you'll certainly want to go back for two good reasons: a little back story, and the books are GREAT.
