I knew I would love this book from the first chapter. My heart broke for Olive. I absolutely loved Charley's devotion, both to Olive and to the difficult job she has with RAPTOR. Sam was about as perfect as a fictional hero could be. He and Charley were a good match. I have enjoyed this entire series to date and have continually been impressed with how well the author handles both the sensitive topic of child trafficking and the reality faced by disabled veterans. Neither subject is easy to accurately describe, but it is evident in the writing that much research has been done. Looking forward to more.

Saving Shelby is the first in a new series, RAPTOR. It's a spinoff of her GHOST series so there are lots of familiar faces while getting to know the new players. The story was filled with suspense and lots of action, but also heartwarming. Shelby was so devoted to her niece and nephew, their sweetness and resilience got me right in the feels. Diego was all in for Shelby and the kids from their first encounter. I would have loved more details of his training, and that of the other RAPTOR employees, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more details throughout the rest of the series. Overall, the story kept me glued to the pages and I think it's going to be a great series!
