This book was a great novella that is the prequel to Freeze Frame. You get to meet Isla and Ben and these characters had such depth that it felt like a complete story. I can’t wait for what she has in store for this couple.
Both characters are so mature and Isla is a very strong heroine. Ben is a sexy AF silver fox that you just want more of. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to see where these two characters take me. I thought Marnye Young and Rock Engle were great as Isla and Ben.
Great story! Love to Caleb and Katie‘s relationship. Caleb was so supportive as he and Katie navigated her new normal. The narrator‘s were fantastic and is always lots of steam and great suspense

Leelo and Roar have each in their own way have had devastation is in their lives and had to create new dreams for themselves. Freya writes such great characters and watching these two develop a friendship and then a relationship was a beautiful thing.
What a great story. Loved Vic and could wait for her book. Viv and Isaac were perfect together. He was just who she needed to battle her demons.
These narrators were fantastic!
I really loved these characters. The story flowed and and both Jared and Mia and so much depth. The performance of both narrators made me unable to put this down

Wow, this book just blew me away! This is the 5th book in the On Call series and I feel like each one just gets better and better.
This is Sumo's book, who we got to know as Blue's partner from Absolving Blue. Sumo was always the light hearted jokester friend who couldn't stop giving all his friends a hard time for finding their true loves. Well, look out Sumo payback time is here!
Annie is a baker who keeps to herself and has secrets, and of course, she catch's Sumo's eye and his heart.
I loved the dynamic between these two and truly enjoyed their journey. This story was so well written and just captured my heart.
This book has everything you love about a Freya Barker book. This is a must read!

I was really looking forward to Tony Ramirez and Ava “Blue” Navarro’s story and Freya totally did not disappoint. I loved spending time with these characters. This story had everything you’ve come to expect from a Freya Barker book and so much more.
Blue is such an intriguing character and when she and Tony are together the sparks just fly. She has such a big heart, she cares about her family at work and she cares for the patients she comes in contact with being an EMT. When they mysteriously start dying she takes it to heart. Tony steps up to investigate. I love how he has her back and does whatever it takes to not only protect her but to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
I did not want to put this book down. I love these characters and this story was a home run!

Tracking Tahlula is Freya Barker at her finest!
We first met Evan Biel in Burning For Autumn, the first book in the On Call series. I was so happy the big hearted firefighter and sexy ginger was going to be getting a book.
Tahlula Rae is an author who has relocated to Durango to be near her brother and hide away from being in the public eye. She is sharp, witty and fiercely independent.
This book has everything that we love from Freya Barker, strong, independent female characters, hot protective alpha males, exceptional secondary characters, a fast paced suspenseful storyline, and amazing chemistry between Evan and Tahlula.
The storyline flowed and had twists and turns that kept me turning page after page. I loved these characters so much and did not want the story to end. It was great to reconnect with characters from the FBI and Arrows Edge MC, Freya always weaves them in masterfully.
I don’t want to give away any of the story, trust me, just dive right in, sit back and enjoy the ride.
5 stars!

We met Joe Benedetti in Burning Autumn who we knew would become the new chief of police.
Joe moves to Durango with his two boys to take over the chief of police position left by Keith Blackfoot. He’s a single father who lost his wife to cancer almost 2 years ago and is trying to find a new normal for his boys and himself. Enter Ollie Rizzo, his neighbor and the mother of his boys babysitter, Trinny. Ollie herself is a single mom running her own business, raising her daughter and keeping everyone at a distance.
There is an instant attraction between Joe and Ollie but neither wants to act on it. Until someone from Ollie’s past starts to shake up her carefully constructed world and Joe finds himself wanted to protect her and her daughter.
I loved watching Joe and Ollie develop an amazing relationship along with their kids.
Ollie has a disability, and to watch how Joe responds to it, or rather how he does not see it as a disability, but just a part of who she is warmed my heart. These characters have so much depth and how they navigate the changes that are happening in their lives is a beautiful thing to read. There are also amazing secondary characters, especially Grace who is like a mother to Ollie.
I could not put this book down and there were so many feels. I highly recommend this booK.

I was so happy to hear Freya was starting a new series and that Keith Blackfoot ( from the Point Series) was going to get his own book. He is now the acting Chief for the Durango PD and not happy about it at all. He's used to being out in the field and with a string of fires and an arsonist who is escalating, he much rather be out there solving the case.
Autumn is in Durango for a year contract working for the burn unit and she has a chance encounter with Chief Blackfoot and you can feel the sparks fly right off the page. Autumn is such an amazing heroine and I liked her immediately. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed and how all the different layers to her unfolded.
The story is intriguing and has twists and turns that will keep you turning page after page. Freya writes the most amazing characters and stories that keep you invested long after you finish the book
