My first thought was to do a video review for this book because I will give the full display of the emotions and grief I went through while reading this book. First let me start off by saying that this book is NOT for the faint at heart. If you are not prepared to cry your eyes out, keep scrolling. This book touched me on levels that I was texting my cousin and aunt apologizing. See they have experienced what Nadia went through. My late uncle WAS Adrian. Me I felt saddened by the fact that I did not know the emotions or turmoil experienced. This book provided me with that and so much more. I cried uncontrollably. I didn't know how to stop. I ended up putting it down and playing Pokemon to relax.
When I tell you the conversation in which I had with my cousin had us both crying, I mean it. See I am her Tess, with that said, I strongly feel I failed HER. She was so understanding and advised my that I was there the only way that I was able to be there. We talked daily as money does not be available for me to travel and I am without a car. I explained that story and advised her that although I would love for her to read it, it is just not the story for her. It will trigger so many things from Adrian, to Nadia, to even the one wish he was not able to fulfill for her.
Stories like this one, that holds so many feelings and life events are one in a few. I can tell you that Jasinda delivered emotions plus some. Nathan piece in this puzzle andd the declaration of his feelings for Lisa and Nadia and comparison. The turmoil and angst was real. The fight of what to do from here on out was real. The involvement of Adrian and the mastermind he was , proved to be genius. Not a selfish bone in his body. His heart was always on pleasing Nadia and making sure she was set for life. He wanted to shoulder everything because of a talk he had with her mother. He knew her from the inside out and the funny thing is, he knew Nathan too. I guess you can piece many things together from one meaningful conversation.
There angel in life and death.
Just read the book but be warned of triggers and tissue.
