It is definitely character driven with our grumpy hero, Farmer John, sweet heroine and single mom, Quinn Harper and of course the star of the story precocious six year old Abby Harper.
This was one of those books that I never wanted to reach the end. I want to become best friends with Abby and co. and move to Richton.

“We were meant to be together. I’m the shadow, and you’re the light. We need each other.”
Although this book is romantic suspense with a bit of mafia themes, it is also a sweet and swoony easy read. Maybe “mafia-light” ;)

Hannah is a police officer who moved to a small town after a traumatic experience.
Chase is an ex-felon who is keeping his head down while trying to turn his life around.
This is a super sweet easy to read story. I picked it up and didn’t want to stop reading til I hit the end.

“Trust me, and I promise I won’t let you down.”
More tears flowed down her face. “Egan…” she breathed.
“Choose me, Sofia. Choose us. Let me love you.”
Sofia DeSalvo enjoys her work as a doctor in a bustling emergency room but hopes to one day open her own general practice. She knows some of Egan’s background and wants to stay clear off the danger he is part of… but her head and her heart tell her two different things.
The Specialist is the final book in the Men of Hidden Justice series and it was a real “nail biter”! The danger and suspense had me on the edge of my seat and even having to put my reader down and step away. But what a swoony romance also.
I adored the bonus epilogue featuring all of the men of Hidden Justice. It gave such a sweet glimpse into their HEA’s <3

Sean McBride has little social life and is working long hours. He is surviving on caffeine and little sleep. He is at a point in his life that he wants more than a superficial one or two night fling.
Sean’s first encounter with insurance arson investigator Harper Walsh does not go well, but Sean is determined to get a second chance.
“Then let me get you home, and I’ll warm you up even more.”
The idea of Sean’s way of warming her caused tingles to move throughout her body. “Is that a promise?”
“Babe, that’s a guarantee.”
I loved the suspense and mystery to this story. It kept me guessing till the very end!
I am loving the start to this new series and really look forward to more Hope City!

I was nervous going into this book. I fell in love with Richard Van Ryan and this author’s writing when I first read The Contract several years ago. I loved how Richard was able to bury his past and reinvent himself from the ashes.
“You’re my future. I know this with everything in me. You’re not alone anymore. You never will be again. You have me.”
In The Addendum that past comes roaring back and all the Van Ryan clan have to open their lives and hearts.

“I want to rage and burn down the city to find whatever it is that is putting her in that situation. I can’t stand the thought of her upset or hurt. Of being alone and vulnerable. It makes me crazy.”
I have loved all the stories in the Hidden Justice world, but The Watcher has moved to the top for me.
Raven is a great heroine. She is no wimp, strong and smart enough to know when she does need help.
You are perfect.”
“I’m hardly perfect,” she scoffed.
“Well, for me, then. You’re perfect for me.”
The Watcher is an exciting and very suspenseful story but also a sweet and swoony romance with plenty of touches of humor. Damien is definitely “my cup of tea” ;)
“Our love defines us. However it started, what we have is us. It’s all I want.”

Right ...
Right from their first meeting when Luke abandons Sammy at the airport sparks fly all around whenever these two spar.
“We agreed on the rules.” I sniffed. “I just broke them.”
Dad smiled, shaking his head. He cupped my face. “There are no rules with love. That’s a hard lesson to learn, my girl.”
Sunshine and Sammy is a great blend of emotional romance and really fun romcom.
“…Except Dusty didn’t want to move when I tugged on her reins.
“How do you get her in reverse?” I mumbled, looking over my shoulder.”
I have this book in both ebook and audiobook and the audio was perfection! I just loved listening as the narrators brought the characters to life.

I loved this story. It is sweet, swoony, funny and packs an emotional punch.
Charly’s best friend Kelly Ryerson arrives back in Littleburn homeless, jobless, recovering from being sick and with a secret she doesn’t want to share.
“I was searching. But I had no idea what I was searching for until I almost lost it.”
Brett and Kelly have an off and on history of hot and heavy that always lasts until Kelly’s next big job pulls her away again. But Brett is tired of having his heart broken and doesn’t want to open himself up to that again.
“We all need a place, Kelly. Somewhere safe to call home. Someone to call our own.”
It was wonderful to revisit the families & found family of Reynold’s Restoration! Theo kept me laughing and Charly tried to steal the show of course.

“How incredibly enticing she smelled. Like warm honey and citrus. The frightening part was that I wanted to be even closer. I wanted to pull her against me and inhale her into my lungs. Meld her close to my body. Taste her.”
This story is part swoony office romance, part romantic suspense with a little mystery mixed in and a twist that kept me guessing. Love this story and this series.

Missy Evans find it hard to trust after the ultimate betrayal that lands her as a victim.
“No one can protect her the way I can. Nothing or no one is going to touch her while I’m around.”
Second in Command is Book two in the Men of Hidden Justice series. It can be read as a standalone but The Boss is so good you really don’t want to skip that. And I definitely can’t wait for Julian’s story!!!
