Thanks to everyone who attended the third meeting of the Book Nerd Alliance, held on a Zoom video chat yesterday. Here’s a quick summary …

- Simon & Schuster has opened its entire fiction catalogue of 80,000 titles to BingeBooks, and we’re in the process of importing those books. S&S is the final Big Five publisher to come on board. The venerable publishing house has a large list of name-brand authors, including Stephen King, Alice Hoffman and Vince Flynn.

- We’ve rolled out an exciting new feature on BingeBooks: notifications! At the top right of every page on the site you’ll now see a bell icon. If it turns gold, it means another user has followed you, commented on a list you created, replied to a comment you posted, created a new topic in a group you joined, or a dozen other actions. Authors receive notifications too, so we hope you’ll like, bookmark and follow authors and follow and interact with fellow users.

- More big news! We’re in the process of opening up the site to all outside authors. If you know an indie or traditional author, we’ll make sure their works are imported first if they sign up for our authors wait list at https://bingebooks.com/pages/for-authors

- We’ve made some additional enhancements to Groups, and our first live author chat in the BingeBooks Book Club group will be held this Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 3 pm Eastern. Register here: https://bingebooks.com/pages/join-bingebooks-book-club

- Finally, we’re in the process of rolling out new content types called “enhanced articles” as well as our genre-specific newsletters that will debut next month. And several members had great suggestions for further improvements to the site.
