My favorite in the Lookout Mountain series so far! A thirty year old cold case seems like a daunting task for anyone, much less a stranger hired to write the story and hopefully find sone answers for an elderly woman in her last days. Yet the case heats up almost immediately and it’s a page turner!
‘Be careful who you invite to dinner.’

A deliciously complex story with a delightful cast of characters at the heart of this paranormal cooking cozy mystery. Our Scooby Gang is comprised of Bunny, head chef extraordinaire and unwilling medium, and her team of ghost busting guys that really...aren’t ghostbusters. They just play them on tv. Faced with a host of ghosts and a current day murder on the set of their first episode, they have to call in the big gun, her grandmother, before they’re all cooked.
‘I’m your therapy person?’

A great suspense novel featuring a slightly older and more mature leading couple getting their second chance at love and a family that includes two runaway children and a bunch of lovable K9 protectors. You can’t miss with this one!
Her mother’s murder tore two families apart. Twenty five years later can Gabby and Jack work together to solve the cold case and find a way to move on, together? A suspenseful tale from start to satisfying finish. I highly recommend it!
‘Our path is always clear.’

This series only keeps getting better. We’re seven months into the war for control of witchkind and the Joywood are determined to take out the perceived ‘weak’ link in the Riverwood coven, the half witch, half human, Ellowyn. But Ellowyn has a secret that makes her even more powerful than she realizes. A reason to live. Add in a couple of helpful ghosts, the love of a good man and a determined group of friends and you’ve got an amazing story! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Georgie...
Once a cowboy, always a cowboy’
‘A cowboy, a bull and a lake.’

The last single Sloan son was going to fall sooner or later and who better to make him glow than the cowgirl that saw eye to eye with him when the were kids? She went toe to toe with him in anything then and now...when life has knocked a little adventure out of his cowgirl, he’s there to remind her of all that she’s been missing and it’s so very sweet. Any visit to Three Springs, Texas is a joy, but this one had a little extra in the form of Lillian Sloan finding her way home to her boys and Grandpa Sam. Well done!
Any book involving a child’s kidnapping is hard to read and this one is not any different but the payoff in the end is worth it! Seeing Henry and Allison come together to save this son and resolve the misunderstandings that had tore them apart warms you in this suspense filled second chance story.
‘I like taking part in as many revolutions as possible.’
‘I am not your destiny, but you are mine.’

Initially I wasn’t sure how I felt about the focus of book 2 in this series switched from older sister, Emerson, to Rebekah but I’ve got to say I loved this book even more than the first one! Sure, the focus was primarily on Rebekah and all that she had done wrong in the past, but her redemption was well earned. My only complaint was I could have used alot more backstory on Nicholas and even a hint of what he was thinking the whole time.
‘Because you were once innocent people who weren’t protected?’

This one is hard for me. I loved Reece and Henry but Lianna irritated me a bit...but I am intrigued by what we don’t know about North Star and it’s employees. It’s going to interesting to see where this series goes.
‘-how can I help?’
A completely unputdownable Intrigue with so many twists and turns you have to wonder how it all got packed into one story! And while the ending wasn’t the fairy tale HEA you can usually expect from one of Harlequin’s books, it was still satisfying.
‘She’s gone Irish.’

My first toe dip into Lexi Blake’s Master and Mercenaries universe was enlightening! Spicy romance, a bounty on the head of our leading lady and her hot tempered Irish father determined to protect his little girl from everything while keeping his head buried in the sand about the fact that she’s not so little anymore. Throw in the rich history that came before this novella (Masters & Mercenaries: New Recruits #2.5; Masters & Mercenaries, #28,5; Sanctum Nights, #15) and how it is interwoven into the story and you’ve got a must read series on your hands!
