Not Part of the Plan
Lucy Score
I adored Emma and Niko's story. It was kind of fun watching the single Niko fall to his knees for the no nonsense, take charge Emma. I'm telling you if you haven't had a desire to go to Blue Moon yet, by book #4, I don't know what to tell you, other than your bags should already be packed to try and find this great crazy town! These books just get better and better as the series continues
Joey Greer is my soul sister, she rocks life and I wish I had her in my real life! Jax Pierce may have made some mistakes, but he's back and he's going to win the love of his life back no matter the cost. Throw in some good pierce family fun, one crazy goat and some horses. This is by far my favorite blue moon book in the whole series. I just connected with Joey so much, and I read this book a lot when I feel like reconnecting with her. Also she has a tub outside on her deck....yes please!
Another Lucy book I have read numerous times and never reviewed! Well If you loved the first book you will love Beckett and Gia's book just as much if not more. Through in some great kids, interesting pasts, the landlord aspect and a yoga instructor who loses her keys more often than not and you have a recipe for a great Lucy Book! The Pierce family is one to look up to and I wish I was apart of a family like them.
This is my 3 time reading this book and apparently I've never reviewed it! well 3 times should tell you that I love this book, I love Blue Moon and Carter is the farmer we never knew we wanted. Summer is a city girl, coming out to write about all the great things Carter is doing on his farm. But after a few short weeks together, they soon find out they can't keep their hands off each other. I love the relationships between the three Pierce brothers and their mother Phoebe is one of a kind. You get to meet some quirky other side characters and that doesn't stop at just humans, the world Lucy built with Blue Moon will have you wishing it was a real place to visit!
Another beautifully written piece by Lucy Score! I loved that the characters were almost 40 and failing in life, that is REAL. Yes Marley is a little bit whiney, but hello her life is not what she thought it would be, are we all whiners about that? But she's funny, she's honest, and she's just so human you can't help but immediately fall in love with her and think "yes girl yes, ME TOO!" Jake is about the dreamiest book boyfriend, that you completely fall for his charms right away. Add in all the past high school trama, including a still mean girl mean girl and you have a laugh out loud book. They way Marly takes her past and imparts her wisdom on the new generation will have you saying to yourself where was that girl when I was going through school! This is a fast read, you will laugh, you will cry but your heart will melt by the end!
Review I just put the book down, I'm not sure where to start with this review. To say that I have a book hangover is an understatement. As usual the writing duo of Claire Kingsley and Lucy Score blew me away. I was a little disappointed when a particular subject came, I wasn't expecting that, but the twist with it made me fall right back in to the book. June was one of my favorite side characters throughout the Bootleg Springs first three books. So finally seeing life through her eyes, made her even more appealing to me. I am always drawn to the different or unique people, I feel instantly like they belong in my tribe. George was a welcome surprise, I loved how smart he was, how he immediately was drawn to June and figured out quite quickly he loved how her brain worked and never made her feel different. Although Jameson Bodine will still be my favorite male Bodine, I am fairly certain that June Bug aka Scooby June has knocked Scarlett out of my favorite female slot...but not by much :) Again great writing and the storylines were fantastic. Love it
First off, someone please send me a Bowie Bodine please? that man is damn near perfect! This book is a great addition the the bootleg springs collections. It has every thing you love from previous books, a lot of Scarlett being well Scarlett, and so much more. The mystery continues in this book, you are given a few more details, but still no definitive answers. Just enough to feed your curiosity! Cassidy is a great addition to the Bodine's she adds a lot to the town and the stories. I really like her no nonsense take charge cop attitude. Bowie is just the perfect southern gentleman, you just can't help but swoon every time he talks! The love between these two is unforgettable and hot off the pages.
Jameson Bodine is a gentleman wrapped up in the metal he sculpts with. I'm on the bus with everyone else who wish that Bootleg Springs was a real place to go. Any man that says "I'll walk through hell and shake hands with the devil himself if you need me to" is a a man we will swoon for. The writing was smooth, the story magical, and the back story mystery just gets better and better. I love that Jameson is a little vulnerable, we don't get to see that too much in hero's and it's nice to see hero's written this nice and not always that big jerk. Leah Mae is a strong woman who is completely taken advantage of and coming back to her hometown wakes her up that her once dream isn't what she thought it would be. Every time a new book comes out in the Bootleg Series I always read from the beginning first, and these books don't disappoint the more they are read!
Have your tissues ready first and for most. This book will have you laughing, crying, ahhing and just plain wanting to crawl into the pages and join Bootleg Springs community. This is Jonah's story and if you didn't already love the guy, you will fall and fall hard for him in this book. Shelby is like a Scarlett 2.0 with her ways. There's matchmaking, marathon training, bootleg justice several times over, and a lot of unsures, more mystery surrounding Callie that will have you gasping, crying and fist pumping though out the book. It's beautifully written, you feel like you are part of the town, and it sets up perfectly for the next and final book with Gibson Bodine.
SPOILER REVIEW DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW
I can't not write a review without naming names! This book, these authors, those characters. They are what life is all about! I had a feeling at the end of Book 5, Gin Fling, that I knew that Gibson Bodine was going to get together with the newly alive Callie Kendall. This book is everything the series needed to end perfectly! It came with all the answers, some flashbacks so you were there when things happened and not just getting a quick rundown though dialog, and a surprise to find out that grumpy quiet Gibson is a dirty talking animal in the sack. There's quite a few surprises in this book, and I won't name them all to help keep some mystery but Claire & Lucy nailed this book perfectly, that bonus epilogue is everything you though you were going to miss, including so very fun facts, texts and thoughts between those two masterminds on the writing this series together!

This book is hilarious! it's a different take on the Billionaire world. This time, the women are the top dogs and the men who love them. You meet Emily CEO of Flawless, a Skin care company, who is set up on a blindish date to help get her better newsworthy as an IPO is coming up. However, her date is ruin, and her name is dragged through the wringer, and so enters Derek Price, a fixer in the world of who's who. There's a heat between these two that you can feel from the pages. The humor in this book is beyond Lucy Score level. The side characters are one thing, the who place of Bluewater is a side character all in itself. You will laugh your socks off during this book. I can't wait for the other 3 books in the series but Pippa Grant, Claire Kingsley & Kathyn Nolan!
Ahh what can I say about this book?? It was so great that I didn't ever want it to end. Linc is that big tough on the exterior, but such a protective teddybear on the inside guy you can't help but love. Mack was an amazing strong female who also has a bit of a mushy interior. These two together were an epic explosion of fire that even the BFD couldn't put out. Add in an adorably lovable dog, a pesky family dynamic and a visit from all your Benevolence favorites and you have a perfect finally story set in this wonderful small town. I'm not sure how Lucy Score keeps writing her books where they just get better and better, but I'm so glad she has this talent and shares it with the world and us devoted readers! 5 blazing hot stars for this book!
