Behind the book
Alexa Aston – Inspiration for The Bridge to Love
The ghost of Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII, is said to roam Hever Castle, her childhood home in Kent. Anne’s favorite spot, where her ghost has been sighted numerous times, is the nearby old wooden bridge over the River Eden.
While my ghost in The Bridge to Love is not Anne Boleyn, I used her ghostly sightings as inspiration for my Anne, who haunts a wooden bridges spanning the Medway River. The bridge connects the properties of Windsong and Glanbury, homes to my hero and heroine, who unite to help Anne’s ghost find peace.
