Under the Child Migration Scheme, thousands of poor and orphaned children were sent from Britain to the British colonies. In 1869, Sara Roth finds herself on the SS Hibernian as one of the several Home Children, heading for Canada. Facing discrimination, heartbreak and her desire to find a place where she belongs; her future will be determined by her endurance and luck.
