Their author, Sheila Lowe, earned a Masters in psychology, is a court-qualified forensic handwriting expert, and has taught in the extension programs at UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara (her curriculum vitae is included in an appendix). She also writes a mystery series featuring fictional handwriting expert Claudia Rose and LAPD homicide detective Joel Jovanic.
